New Webkinz were released in to the field this week, and it was an impressive new line up:  Siamese Cat, Pink Googles, Lemon and Lime Gecko and the Striped Snake.  Sadly, some new retirees were annouced too: the Rhino, Tiger Snake, the Samoyed, Leopard Lizard, Cheeky Dog and the June Pet of the Month, the Elephant.

There's a large spread in the pricing of new Webkinz and until last week, we were used to paying between $9.99 and $14.99 for new Webkinz.  But, by chance last week, we stumbled across a small local CardSmart store offering Webkinz at $8 for two!  Needless to say we added to our collection.

The Webkinz pet-of-the-month for May 2008 is... the panda!  This is not a Webkinz we own so it might be time to add to the collection.

It seems a long time ago that I got my first ever Webkinz, but I still love her as much today as I did then. My first Webkinz was a white and pink Yorkshire Terrier with a cute bow in her long hair. I will post a picture of her soon. It took me a long time to save the money to buy my first Webkinz. I saved a whole jar full of coins and my dad and I went to the supermarket ans emptied the jar into the coin counter. To our surprise, it turned out that we had enough for three Webkinz! So my sister and I got one Webkinz each from the Hallmark store and we kept the remainder.
